Algonquin (Kane County) home prices fall in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Algonquin in Kane County fell by $19,400 while total sales increased by 43.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 56 homes sold, with a median sale price of $255,600 - a 7.1% decrease over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 39 homes sold in Algonquin in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Algonquin for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $7,233.50, approximately 2.8% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
