Aurora (Kane County) home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Aurora in Kane County rose by $13,900 while total sales decreased by 4.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 441 homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,900 - a 9.6% increase over the $145,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 461 homes sold in Aurora in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Aurora for 2017 was $3,476.86. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,280.60. This marks an increase of 6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
