The price of local government in 2017: Village of Gilberts

The Village of Gilberts budget was $6.06 million for its 2017 fiscal year, or $2,516 per household.

That's a decrease of 56.6 percent from 2016, when the village spent $13.99 million, or $5,803 per household.

Gilberts has 2,410 households and a population of 7,724.

Since 2001, the Village of Gilberts budget has grown by 42.5 percent, from $4.26 million. The village population has grown 682.6 percent over the same period, from 987.
