City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Also, due to this frigid weather, America in Bloom - St. Charles, IL has extended the end date for the Holiday Lights Recycling Program. Now through Feb. 4, you may bring your discarded lights to a drop-off site around town. For a complete list of sites, go to:

While bins will be removed from the drop-off locations on Feb. 4, the City of St. Charles, Illinois Government Public Works Facility will keep the main collection bin through Feb. 14. Therefore, you may still recycle old lights there during regular business hours through Feb. 14.
