CITY OF GENEVA: Mosquito Spraying Rescheduled For Aug. 14

Mosquitospray

City of Geneva issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.

Mosquito spraying originally scheduled for Aug. 13 in Geneva has been pushed back one day to Tuesday, Aug. 14, according to the City’s contractor.

Spraying citywide will now take place from dusk to dawn Aug. 14 to Wednesday, Aug. 15 to help control the adult mosquito population.

Clarke will be using a synthetic treatment that is safe for humans and pets, although people with asthma and other respiratory conditions are advised to stay indoors with their windows closed during the misting application and one hour afterward.

The spraying will be rescheduled if rain or high winds enter the forecast. Updates will be posted on the City’s website.
