A. Consideration of Acceptance of Stormwater Management Easement at the Vines Senior Home (971 Bode Road) (No cost to the City)
Objective: Fulfill the city’s obligation to provide facilities, improvements and appurtenances with various public utilities and distribution systems for serving businesses and residents.
B. Consideration of Acceptance of Grant of Easement in the Elgin Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club Subdivision(No cost to the City)
Objective: Fulfill the city’s obligation to provide facilities, improvements and appurtenances with various public utilities and distribution systems for serving businesses and residents.
C. Consideration of Sole Source Purchase Agreement with Drydon Equipment Inc. for Pump Replacement Parts ($23,499)
Objective: Provide adequate water supply by replacing aging equipment.
D. Consideration of Change Order Number 1 with Boller Construction Company Inc. for Carbon Dioxide and Chlorine Updates Project ($10,140 decrease)
Objective: Update chemical storage and feed systems at the Leo Nelson Riverside and Airlite Water Treatment Plants to provide purified drinking water to the city residents and businesses.
E. Consideration of Amendments to the Backyard Chicken Regulations (No cost to the City)
Objective: Expand number of Elgin households able to attain permits to keep chickens in their backyards.
F. Discussion of Videotaping Special City Council Meetings (Councilpersons Tish Powell and Richard Dunne)
G. Consideration of Elgin Symphony Orchestra Agreement ($161,841)
Objective: Renegotiate terms of city’s loan agreement to enable the Elgin Symphony Orchestra to present a more favorable balance sheet when competing for grant applications.
H. Consideration of Emergency Engineering Services Agreement with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick Inc. for Linden and Preston Repair ($122,394)
Objective: Provide engineering services to design a permanent repair to the area impacted by the July 11, 2017 storm sewer failure at the intersection of Linden and Preston Avenues.
