1. Call to Order

Co-chair Starrett called the meeting to order at 10:01 am.

Co-chair Starrett provided an update on the following legislative bills discussed last month: HB0278 Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF), SB1518 Quick Take, Assessment Publication, SB0007 Chicago Casino Authority Act, HB2591 Court Fee Distribution, HB3639 County Home Rule, SB1275 Juror Compensation, HB2703 Removal of Risk Mgmt. FOIA Exemptions, HB3760 Organization Subject to FOIA, SB1977 Public Record Presumption, HB3326 Public Questions, Civil Penalty and Atty. Fees, HB3626 Public Comment Rules, HB3006 Public Body Website Information, HB3209 Competitive Bidding, SB1799 Court Calls by Video, Tobacco bill, HB0440 Optional for School District to provide Physical Education, and SB1469, HB2820, HB3063 which all address Farmers Market Cottage Food.

5. New Business

Co-chair Hernandez provided an overview of the United Counties Council of Illinois (UCCI) session she attended last week in Champaign, IL. She reported 30 elected county officials attended from all over the state with 4 from Kane County. Hernandez shared information on topics they discussed. County Board members Wegman, Molina, and Sanchez also attended the session.
