The Algonquin Liquor Commission meets as called. Members of the village board serve on the commission and the village president is the liquor commissioner.

Minutes of the Village of Algonquin Special Liquor Commission Meeting Held in Village Board Room on November 1, 2016
CALL TO ORDER: Liquor Commissioner John Schmitt called the meeting to order at 7:25 pm and requested Village Clerk Jerry Kautz to call the roll. Present: Brian Dianis, Jim Steigert, Jerrold Glogowski, Debby Sosine, Bob Smith. (Quorum established) Absent: John Spella. Staff in attendance: Tim Schloneger, Bob Mitchard, Deputy Chief Ryan Markham. Village Attorney Kelly Cahill was also present.
1. Approve an A-1 Liquor License for Jasmin Bankok Thai & Sushi Inc. d/b/a
Bangkok Thai & Sushi, 4077 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin
Jasmin Bangkok Thai & Sushi Inc. d/b/a Bangkok Thai & Sushi, 4077 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin, Illinois 60102, has applied for a Class A-1 Liquor License (restaurant /consumption on premises). The business has been bought by a new entity. This license is only for the period ending April 30, 2017; it will then be renewed for the next fiscal year. Jasmin Bankok Thai & Sushi Inc. d/b/a Bangkok Thai & Sushi, has complied with the village’s requirements by completing the submittal of all documents and fees as required by the Village of Algonquin for obtaining the license pertinent to their establishment. All fees have been paid and all documents are in order.
Trustees Smith, and Dianis questioned the owners in regard to Basset training and taking selling to minors seriously.
Consensus of the Commissioners was to advise & consent to this license
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Commissioner Schmitt adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
