City of Aurora staff recently partnered with the Red Cross of Greater Chicago to assist residents impacted by a fire at an apartment complex on the 800 block of North Lake Street. The response included a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) that provided affected residents with social services, support for seniors, mental health services, and emergency supplies.

To further support those displaced by the incident, the City of Aurora has worked with Fox Valley United Way to set up a donation fund aimed at helping residents begin the recovery process.

In a statement from the City: "By giving, you are not only helping individuals and families recover from this loss, but you’re also showing them that Aurora is a community that cares. Please consider contributing to bring comfort, stability, and hope back to our neighbors."
