Central Community Unit School District 301 serves students in Kane and DeKalb counties through several schools including Central High School and Central Middle School. According to the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs approximately 280 teachers with an average salary of $58,199; most are women and none have more than ten absences per year. The student body is composed of about 65 percent White students, with Hispanic, Asian, and Black students making up significant portions of enrollment. In fiscal year 2020, per-student spending was $19,244 for a total expenditure exceeding $84 million (source).
