The City of Geneva’s Natural Resources Committee will focus on sandhill cranes in its upcoming lecture series. The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, at the Geneva Public Library, located at 227 S. Seventh St.
Representatives from the Kane County Forest Preserve will provide information about sandhill cranes, a bird species recognized for their unique calls and commonly observed during spring and fall migrations. In addition to discussing sandhill cranes, the presentation will include an overview of the Kane County Champion Tree program.
The event is free to attend, but registration is recommended. More details are available on the Geneva Public Library District’s website.
