The City of Aurora has announced its preparations for the upcoming Fiestas Patrias celebration, emphasizing its commitment to supporting the immigrant community and ensuring equal access to city services and information for all residents.

Officials noted that organizing large events such as Fiestas Patrias requires coordination between several departments. The City’s Special Events team is working in partnership with public safety agencies, including the Aurora Police Department, to prioritize the safety and enjoyment of attendees. Plans include measures for crowd and traffic management, staffing by police officers and private security, evacuation and severe weather procedures, as well as clear communication throughout the event.

"Our top priority is to provide a safe, welcoming, and joyful celebration for everyone in our community," the statement read.

Residents seeking additional support—including housing assistance, legal guidance, or healthcare—are encouraged to visit the City’s Immigration & Refugee Resource page at https://loom.ly/voj4bas.

The city concluded its announcement by expressing anticipation for a successful event: "We look forward to a fun and safe event for everyone!"
