Central Community Unit School District 301, which serves Kane and DeKalb counties in Illinois, has shared several updates on its official Twitter account regarding upcoming events and initiatives for the district.

On September 10, 2025, the district announced plans to gather community input as part of its superintendent search. The post stated: " Coming Soon: #Engage301

The week of September 22, Central 301 will kickoff 'Community Input Days. This is your chance to share your voice as part of our superintendent search. Stay tuned for details!

On September 11, 2025, Central Community Unit School District 301 recognized the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a message of remembrance: "Today we pause to remember September 11, 2001. We honor the lives lost, the courage shown, and the unity that followed.

Central Community Unit School District 301 includes several schools such as Central High School and Prairie View Grade School and represents a diverse student population—65.3 percent White, 16.5 percent Hispanic, and smaller percentages of Black and Asian students (source). The district employs approximately 280 teachers with an average salary of $58,199; women comprise about three-quarters of the teaching staff (source).
