Central Community Unit School District 301 has highlighted recent athletic events and employment opportunities in a series of posts on its official X account.

On August 27, 2025, the district posted about upcoming sports competitions: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: On today's menu, we have a boys soccer battle against Lake Park. Plus, the girls golf team is back in action against Jacobs." Later that day, the district promoted open positions within the school system: "** WORKIN’ ON WEDNESDAY ** Check out the latest current openings at Central 301 and apply today: LINK: https://t.co/R1B0BspDkJ Join us in empowering our student-athletes and fostering a winning culture. Explore the opportunities today!"

The following day, on August 28, another post spotlighted additional sporting events: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: On today's menu, we have the boys golf team. It's their first home match of the year on the road back to state & the home opener for the girls volleyball program. Plus 8th graders in action too! TICKETS https://t.co/vBBm0my3C1"

Central Community Unit School District 301 serves Kane and DeKalb counties and includes several schools such as Central High School and Prairie Knolls Middle School. According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education, there are 280 teachers in the district with an average salary of $58,199; women make up nearly 78 percent of this workforce. The district’s student population is predominantly White (65.3 percent), with Hispanic (16.5 percent), Asian (12.2 percent), and Black (2.1 percent) students also represented (source). In fiscal year 2020, spending per student was $19,244 for a total expenditure of $84.9 million (source).
