Jessica Bridges City Clerk at City of St. Charles | St. Charles
Jessica Bridges has officially assumed the role of City Clerk for St. Charles, Illinois, following a swearing-in ceremony at the City Council meeting on July 7, 2025. Bridges will hold this position for a two-year term until the next election in 2027. Her appointment was made by Mayor Clint Hull with approval from the City Council.
The position became available after Susan Hanson, who won the April 1, 2025 election unopposed, declined to assume office due to her relocation outside of St. Charles. Nancy Garrison, the former City Clerk who did not seek re-election, temporarily returned as Interim Clerk until Bridges' appointment.
Bridges is currently employed as a Field Service Engineer at Agilent Technologies and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. She previously ran for Ward 1 Alderperson in 2023.
Mayor Clint Hull expressed his support for Bridges by stating: “On behalf of the entire St. Charles City Council, I extend a warm welcome to Jessica and look forward to working with her.”
The city received 12 applications for the vacant clerk position. Candidates were interviewed by Mayor Hull along with members of the City Council. The responsibilities of the City Clerk include attending all council meetings, recording meeting minutes, and signing official documents.
