The City of Geneva is inviting the public to participate in a community update on its 2030 Strategic Plan. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at the Geneva Public Library, located at 227 S. Seventh St.

Organized by the City's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee (SPAC), the meeting aims to be both engaging and informative. Attendees will receive an overview presentation followed by small-group discussions focusing on various aspects of the plan.

Topics will include how the strategic plan was developed, current City Council priorities, tracking progress and updates, and opportunities to get involved with SPAC subcommittees.

The strategic plan is designed to help city leaders identify goals, prioritize resources, and guide development to ensure that Geneva remains a vibrant and prosperous community. Feedback from attendees will assist SPAC in determining next steps and future public engagement efforts.

The Geneva 2030 Strategic Plan has been developed with broad community input and focuses on six guiding principles: strong governance; informed residents; purposeful growth and economic vitality; a safe, active and welcoming community; environmental stewardship; and quality infrastructure and services.

While RSVPs are preferred for attending the event, they are not required. For more information, contact Assistant City Administrator Ben McCready at 630-938-4540 or via email.
