The Village of North Aurora has announced details for its annual Independence Day Celebration, set to take place on July 3, 2025. The event will be held at North Aurora Riverfront Park, beginning at 5:00 pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and food for a community picnic atmosphere. Drinks, including alcohol, can also be brought in by participants. Local dining options within a one-mile walking distance from the park are available as well.
Event organizers have emphasized that there will be no soliciting allowed at the celebration. Only vendors who have been pre-approved by the Village may conduct sales during the event.
For those looking to drop off supplies before the festivities begin, the Village Hall back parking lot will be accessible until 4:30 pm for unloading only. Vehicles will not be permitted in this area after that time to ensure safety.
Live music will feature prominently with a performance by the Hillbilly Rockstarz from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This country band is known for playing popular hits spanning various decades.
Parking arrangements include spaces at North Island Park and several other village lots near State Street. Notably, parking is prohibited at the Route 31/State Street lot as it is designated for pedestrian access and viewing only. Additional parking options are available at Aurora Packing Company after 6:00 pm and several locations on Oak Street. Handicap parking is provided at the front Village Hall lot.
The evening will culminate with a fireworks display scheduled to begin around 9:30 pm. Attendees are reminded that viewing from the bridge is not permitted.
