The Village's Beautification Committee is calling for nominations for its Property Recognition Program, known as Green Thumb. This initiative will evaluate front yard landscaping of nominated properties based on maintenance, creativity, and appearance. Residents are encouraged to nominate their own property or another deserving one in the neighborhood.
Nominations can be submitted through the Village website. The community plays a crucial role in this process, as all nominations come from local residents. Whether it's a home on your street or one you pass by during daily activities, the committee wants to hear about it.
Properties will be judged by the Beautification Committee, with awards given to the top three properties. Winners will receive Woodman's gift cards valued at $100, $75, and $50 respectively. Additionally, there will be a Community Choice Award selected via the Village’s Facebook page with a prize of a $25 Woodman’s gift card.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday, June 18. Judging is scheduled to occur between June 20 and June 29, 2025.
