The St. Charles Fire Department will carry out water main flushing at 2065 Marlowe Blvd. on Thursday, April 24, 2025. This operation is scheduled to start around 9:00 A.M. and is expected to be completed by 10:00 A.M. on the same day.
Residents in the area may notice rust in their water during or shortly after the flushing procedure. The water remains safe to use; however, it is suggested to avoid doing laundry until the water clears. If rust causes any discoloration of clothes in the wash, residents should keep the clothing wet and contact the Public Works Department at 630-377-4405 for a rust-removing solution packet. Drivers are also advised to be cautious of any water on the pavement while driving through the affected areas.
