Families are invited to participate in Geneva's upcoming Bike Rodeo, a free event aimed at fun, education, and safety. Scheduled for Sunday, May 4, it will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the north parking lot of Wheeler Park, located at 822 N. First St.

The event, organized by the Geneva Police Department and local experts, promises an enjoyable day for children with a variety of educational activities. These include a bike safety riding course for skill testing, free bike safety checks and repairs conducted by local bike shops, and a helmet fitting station provided by Northwestern Medicine. Additionally, attendees can learn about bike and pedestrian safety with support from local partners like the Illinois Prairie Path, Fox Valley Bike & Ski Club, and the Geneva Park District.

The City’s Bike & Pedestrian Committee sponsors the event. The committee consists of community volunteers dedicated to enhancing the safety and walkability of Geneva. Further details about the committee's work can be found on the City’s website.
