Brush collection will begin on April 7 on the east side and on April 14 on the west side, as announced by local authorities. Residents are reminded to adhere to specific guidelines to ensure smooth operations.
Brush should be placed at the curb no earlier than the weekend before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the Monday of the scheduled collection week. Crews will make a single pass through neighborhoods, and late brush must wait for the next collection cycle.
"The Pick-Up Map provides daily updates on collection progress," a representative stated, emphasizing the importance of staying informed.
Brush size is limited to a maximum of 6 inches in diameter and 12 feet in length. It should be stacked in a single pile with cut ends facing the curb, away from obstacles. There is a strict prohibition on tied, bagged, or containerized brush, as well as stumps, roots, lumber, or firewood.
Only brush generated by residents is eligible for collection. Debris from contractors is not accepted. In cases where brush is set out on time but not collected by Friday, residents should contact Public Properties & Services at 630-454-2400 by the following Monday.
