Central Community Unit School District 301 recently shared updates on their activities and achievements through a series of tweets. The school district, which represents Kane and DeKalb counties, has been active in sports and educational milestones, as reflected in the social media posts.
On February 8, 2025, the district announced the commencement of the postseason for their Boys Wrestling Team. "BREAKFAST BREAKDOWN: The postseason journey begins for the Boys Wrestling Team today in the Forest City. They travel to the IHSA Regional at Rockford East."
Two days later, on February 10, 2025, they provided an update on their wrestling team’s progress. "ADVANCING: The Central High School boys had 7 wrestlers qualify for the IHSA Sectional round, led by Michael Junitz (190 lbs). He was the lone champion of the Regional round at Rockford East. They'll be back on the mat this weekend at Washington."
On February 10, 2025 as well, another tweet celebrated a significant academic milestone at HBT. "DAY 100: A little belated, but worth the mention! Students at HBT celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday with a wardrobe fit for the century mark—gray hair, canes, cardigans, and all! 100 days of learning, growing, and making memories!"
