Central Community Unit School District 301, located in Kane and DeKalb counties, recently shared updates on their Twitter account regarding achievements and initiatives. The tweets highlight the accomplishments of the Central Rockets Dance Team and introduce a new video series featuring graduates who have returned to their community.
On January 25, 2025, the district announced that "The Central Rockets Dance Team heads to Sycamore for the IHSA Sectional today." Their performance was scheduled for 1:51 PM, with awards following immediately after.
In a subsequent post on January 26, 2025, they celebrated the team's success by stating "Congratulations to our amazing Central Rockets Dance Team on qualifying for the IHSA State Finals for the 7th straight year!" The team will compete in Bloomington next weekend.
On January 27, 2025, another tweet highlighted a new initiative from the district. It read: "We’re excited to launch Homegrown, a series celebrating Central 301 graduates who returned to the community they’ll always call home." The series features Nicolette Capetillo in its next installment.
