City of Geneva City Council will meet Sept. 3

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

All Items listed with an asterisk (*) are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a council member so requests in which event the item will be removed from the Omnibus (Consent) Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. All items on the Omnibus Agenda require a simple majority vote unless otherwise indicated.

8. MUNICIPAL BILLS FOR PAYMENT: $2,803,272.98

9. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ITEMS OF BUSINESS

*a. Approve Resolution No. 2024-85 Authorizing the Acceptance of the City of Geneva 2024 Employee Benefit Program Plan Renewal Effective November 1, 2024.

*b. Approve Resolution No. 2024-86 Authorizing the Purchase of Fire Personal Protective Clothing from W.S. Darley & Company in the Amount of $27,820.00.

*c. Approve Resolution No. 2024-87 Authorizing the Purchase of Membrane Water Filters from Consolidated Water Solutions, Inc. in the Amount of $169,500.00.

*d. Approve Resolution No. 2024-88 Waiving Competitive Bidding and Authorize the Purchase and Installation of Kinetrol Valve Actuators from Dorner Company in the Amount of $34,832.00.

*e. Approve Resolution No. 2024-89 Authorizing Execution of a Labor Contract with Utility Dynamics Corporation for the FY 2025 Underground Replacement Program in the Amount of $811,740.40 and Allow the City Administrator to Approve Change Orders Not-to-Exceed 10% of the Contract Amount, for a Not-to-Exceed Total of $892,914.44.

10. PRESENTATION OF ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS

a. Consider Resolution No. 2024-90 Waiving Competitive Bidding and Authorizing the City Administrator to Execute with Cummins Sales and Service to Repair 2015Pierce Enforcer Fire Engine in the Amount of $23,323.66.

b. Consider Resolution No. 2024-91 Adopting a Pledge of Office and Code of Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials.

c. Consider Ordinance No. 2024-34 Amending Chapter 10 (Municipal Elections) of Title 1 (Administration) of the Geneva City Code Relating to Redistricting.
