IRS report shows high taxes driving Illinois residents away

Decades of public policy decisions by Democrats in the General Assembly have placed Illinois in a challenging position. High taxes are driving residents away, diminishing the state's tax base and increasing the burden on those who remain.

"Denying Illinois’ outmigration problem gets us nowhere," stated an observer. "We must get control of state spending and put Illinois on the path toward growth."

A new report from the IRS highlights that Illinois taxpayers continue to leave the state, taking billions in income with them.
