Calls for tax reform grow as Illinois ranks low on tax friendliness

Illinois consistently ranks among the worst in the nation for tax burdens. There is a growing call to rein in state spending to provide tax relief and support residents' prosperity.

Governor J.B. Pritzker has promoted targeted tax breaks despite Illinois being named the least "tax-friendly" state by multiple sources.

"We need to rein in our state's out-of-control spending to provide tax relief to all Illinoisans and help our residents thrive," stated an anonymous source.
