According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 324 students during the year. This equates to six percent of the 5,092 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for six incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 24 incidents with violence without physical injury, four incidents with alcohol and tobacco, 30 incidents with drugs, four incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 234. There were 20 incidents of violence without injury. For 234 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
Boy students received 229 suspensions, while 95 girls were suspended.
There were 112 elementary or middle school students, and 212 high school students suspended in 2021-22 school year.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 22. There were 17 incidents of drug offense. For 22 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
