FY 2025 budget includes pay raises, tax hikes, and record-breaking spending

The Fiscal Year 2025 budget, announced on June 4, 2024, is $2.6 billion more than the previous year's enacted budget. It includes pay raises for politicians and allocates $1 billion for non-citizens. Additionally, Democrats have voted for $1 billion in tax hikes to fund the increased spending.
