Illinois residents are facing heightened safety concerns six months after the implementation of the SAFE-T Act, particularly due to the adoption of cashless bail. According to a post on The Caucus Blog of the Illinois House Republicans, titled "Cashless Bail Fails: six months of diminished public safety," the impact of the legislation has been far from the intended goal of increasing safety.
