Mark Rice, a congressional candidate, has accused President Joe Biden of indirectly enabling the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to harm American citizens through the trafficking of fentanyl. Rice is set to challenge incumbent Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi in the upcoming general election. His comments come amidst ongoing discussions among Republicans in Congress about the link between China and the fentanyl crisis in America.

"We all see this spineless coward Joe Biden continue to do nothing to hold the CCP accountable for mass murder of Americans on a daily basis as they are free to continue their supply of deadly fentanyl to the Mexican cartels that “finish us off” for their CCP boss," said Rice, according to Facebook. "It's a war and the loser in the White House is compromised by the CCP so that loser will never win this war."

In a Facebook post dated April 3, Rice cited an article from The Daily Wire which reported on a phone conversation between President Xi Jinping and President Biden. According to this report, Xi advised Biden that both nations should "prioritize stability, not provoke troubles, not cross lines but maintain the overall stability of China-U.S. relations."

The Daily Wire attributed its information regarding China's role in facilitating fentanyl smuggling by Mexican drug cartels to investigative journalist and author Peter Schweizer. Schweizer reportedly discussed these findings with Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro during a podcast interview.

Rice continued his critique of the CCP in another Facebook post on April 4. In this post, he shared a Fox News video about an increase in Chinese migrants at the U.S. border. He wrote: "The CCP doesn’t just let any citizen 'escape' China. The CCP allows these Chinese nationals to cross American borders for nefarious reasons...Our inept and compromised President ignores this national security threat bringing more deadly fentanyl into our country...They do NOTHING to stop this and only allow this alarming surge to continue!! Everyone should be concerned."

Rice's campaign for Illinois' 8th Congressional District emphasizes key issues such as economic growth, fiscal responsibility, tax relief, immigration reform, and border security. With a longstanding 35-year residency in Illinois under his belt, Rice currently holds the position of CEO at Energy CX. Under his stewardship, a team of 70 professionals has propelled the company towards national recognition as a leading provider of comprehensive energy solutions, as per rice4congress.com.
