Andrew Sosnowski, the Republican candidate for Kane County State's Attorney, has questioned the source of his opponent's campaign funding in a Facebook post. Sosnowski ran an uncontested campaign for the Republican nomination and is set to face incumbent Jamie Mosser in the upcoming general election.
"Who gives money to your State's Attorneys' political campaigns - follow the money," said Sosnowski, according to Facebook. "We need to re-educate our communities. Many elected State's Attorneys around our great nation are funded by Open Society and George Soros. His monies are funneled into other organizations with names touting justice, equity, and expression; follow the money."
In his Facebook post dated March 30, Sosnowski wrote: "More of our finest police die in the line of duty each day. It has to stop! Violence cannot win. It’s happening from Chicago to our suburbs, and state to state." He did not directly mention his challenger but hinted at questions regarding how Jamie Mosser’s campaign is funded. His post included a photograph of George Soros.
