Kane County Mill Creek Special Service Area Advisory Board met Sept. 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL MEETING TO ORDER 

Tom Zobitz called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. 

ATTENDANCE 

Roll call taken by Brooke Roff 

Members Present: Tom Zobitz, Phil Morris, Heidi Urbelis, Brad Rosenberg, Mike Ulaszek, Mark Neville Absent: Barry Stuedemann and Mary Kobbeman 

Also Present: Bill Meyer (SSA Coordinator) 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES 

Heidi Urbelis seconded by Brad Rosenberg. Approved by unanimous vote of the members present. 

PUBLIC COMMENT 

None 

MCSSA FINANCIAL REPORTS 

• Roger Fahnestock went over Mill Creek budget (Balance Sheet, Budget Performance Report,  Detailed Ledger). Motion made by Phil Morris and seconded by Mark Neville, all in favor.  

COMMUNICATIONS REPORT 

• None 

OBJECTIVES FOR 2023 AND PRIORITIZATION OF GOALS  

• Sidewalk plans for the future years’ discussion  

KANE COUNTY BOARD REPORT 

• FY2024 Budget Presentation  

o Motion made by Mark Neville to approve FY2024 Expense: $988,259.00 Revenue: $879,500  budget recommendation to the County Board seconded by Phil Morris. Approved by  unanimous vote of the members present. 

• Levy Discussion  

o Motion made my Phil Morris to recommend to the County Board a Flat rate for taxes and  generate $939,679.56 seconded by Brad Rosenberg. Approved by a unanimous vote off the  members present.

• Parcel update discussion 

MILL CREEK SSA COORDINATOR’S REPORT  

• Presentation from Cornerstone and discussion 

• Snow plowing contract awarded to Countywide- option review 

• Raise-Rite starting work in 3 weeks on lifting sidewalks 

ITEMS REQUIRING ADVISORY BOARD ACTION  

• None 

OTHER BUSINESS 

None 

ADJOURN 

Motion made by Phil Morris seconded by Brad Rosenberg to adjourn meeting.
