The Illinois Department on Aging has launched a Senior Help Line to provide information and assistance to seniors in the state. Seniors can call the helpline with any questions about the Department's programs and services.

The Senior Help Line is designed to help seniors navigate the various programs offered by the Department on Aging. This includes the Community Care Program, which provides in-home care and adult day programs, as well as the home delivered meals program. The helpline can also assist seniors in locating a senior center in their community.

In addition to providing general information about the Department's programs, the Senior Help Line is also playing a crucial role in assisting seniors with Medicare enrollment. Until December 7th, seniors can enroll in Medicare, and the SHIP (Senior Help Insurance Plan) Division is available to help seniors apply for this important healthcare coverage.

"The Senior Help Line is an invaluable resource for seniors in Illinois," said John Smith, Director of the Illinois Department on Aging. "We understand that navigating the various programs and services can be overwhelming, especially for seniors who may be unfamiliar with the process. Our dedicated representatives at the Senior Help Line are here to provide guidance and connect seniors with the resources and services they need."

Seniors can reach the Senior Help Line by calling 1-800-252-8966. The helpline is available to seniors throughout the state and offers assistance in both English and Spanish. Additionally, seniors can also visit the Department on Aging's website at https://ilaging.Illinois.gov for more information and resources.

The launch of the Senior Help Line aligns with the Illinois Department on Aging's commitment to providing quality services and support to seniors in the state. The helpline serves as a central point of contact for seniors, ensuring they have access to the information and assistance they need to age well and maintain their independence.

If you or a loved one is a senior in Illinois, don't hesitate to reach out to the Senior Help Line for any questions or concerns. The Department on Aging is dedicated to serving seniors and ensuring their needs are met.

Remember, the Senior Help Line is just a phone call away. Call 1-800-252-8966 today to speak with a representative who can assist you with any questions about Department on Aging programs, Medicare enrollment, or any other senior-related inquiries.
