State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) is organizing a Holiday Gift Card Drive for U.S. troops this November. The gift cards, from retailers such as Amazon, Sam's Club, Costco, and Dollar Tree, will be collected at his district office in St. Charles. The initiative, called Operation Support Our Troops - America's Holiday Stockings, aims to bring some holiday cheer to the brave men and women who serve our nation.

"Our troops sacrifice so much for our nation, including being away from family during important holidays," said Rep. Ugaste. "A gift card can provide an opportunity for them to purchase presents for loved ones or a treat for themselves during this holiday season. Spread holiday cheer by giving back to the brave men and women who serve our nation this month!"

The gift cards will be accepted at Rep. Ugaste's district office until Tuesday, November 21st. The office is located at 406 Surrey Woods Dr., Unit A, in St. Charles and is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Last year, Operation Support Our Troops - America's Holiday Stockings (OSOT-A) shipped 4,517 Christmas stockings to troops. In addition to the gift card drive, the organization offers care packages to active duty deployed service members, a Veterans Assistance program, G.I. Yoga for veterans and families, and the three-day Leap of Faith grief seminar for Gold Star families.

This initiative provides an opportunity for individuals to show their support and gratitude to the brave men and women who serve in the military. By donating gift cards, people can help bring joy to the troops and allow them to celebrate the holiday season even while being away from their loved ones.
