Co-Chair Linder called the meeting to order at 10:03 AM.

A. Legislative Update

Co-Chair Gumz provided a brief update on her visit to Springfield, including the completion of witness slips for various bills.

Madam Chair Pierog provided a brief update on the Longmeadow Parkway advocacy effort. Discussion ensued regarding funding.

B. Authorizing Agreement for Professional Government Relations Consulting and Legislative Lobbying Services

Co-Chair Linder summarized the process which led to this recommendation. (Strathmann* arrived - 10:08 AM) Much discussion ensued regarding legislative goals, funding, support, and the importance of hiring a lobbyist.
