Aurora University Spartan junior pitcher Jack Fisher tossed a two-hit shutout and his teammates run ruled the University of Northwestern, Minn. 10-0 in eight innings on Tuesday afternoon.

How it happened- Spartan Nico Bermeo led off the bottom of the first with a double and later scored on a perfectly executed double steal with Jett Wedekind.- The game remained 1-0 AU through 3-1/2 innings with both teams accounting for a double each.
- In the bottom of the fourth, the bottom half of the order got started with a lead-off triple from Derek Angelo and he quickly scored on a single from Brenden Naylor for a 2-0 AU lead.
- Later in the inning, Dominick Curcio singled and scored Naylor as AU now led 3-0.
- The runs were more than enough for AU starting pitcher Jack Fisher who allowed just three base runners all day with a pair of doubles and a walk.
- Fisher would strikeout out 15 on the afternoon including a stretch of seven consecutive from the end of the second through the fourth.
- As Fisher dominated the bump, the AU bats continued to add on with a two-run homer from Collin Meinert in the sixth and a 5-0 AU lead.
- With one out in the eighth and what would be the only out of the bottom of the inning, the Spartans exploded for five runs to enact the run rule.
- A ground rule double from Naylor, four singles and two walks fueled the five run frame that ended the game early.
- The Spartans were victorious 10-0 in 8 innings.
