The Aurora University baseball team squared off in a battle of Top 25 programs that had the #23 Spartans take on #5 Rowan University. Rowan defeated the Spartans 13-9 in a back and forth contest.

- AU took advantage of four Rowan errors including a pair of catcher's interference calls to scored three runs.- Jacob Ambuel had the lone hit, a single in the inning and he scored with Jett Wedekind and Nico Bermeo when Brendan Naylor reached on an error from the Rowan secondbaseman.
- Rowan scored twice in the bottom of the inning when the inning was extended by an error which was followed by a two-run homer
- Rowan added two runs in the second to take a 4-3 lead.
- After Rowan took a 5-3 lead in the fourth, the Spartans tied the game up in the fifth 5-5.
- After Wedekind reached on a fifth Rowan error on the day and with one out Josh Reinhardt hit a long two-run blast to knot the score.
- Rowan responded in the bottom of the inning, scoring four times to take a 9-5 lead.
- In the back and forth game the Spartans answered right back in the top of the next frame.
- Taking advantage of two hit batsmen, the Spartans scored three times with a two-run double from Naylor being the big hit.
- Heading to the bottom of the sixth, AU trailed 9-8.
- AU threatened in the seventh with two more hit by pitches but could not push across the tying run.
- A lead off error in the seventh saw Rowan manufacture a run and go up 10-8.
- Rowan added three insurance runs in the eighth and led 13-8.
- AU was not done and three singles in the ninth led to one run when Ambuel singled home Collin Meinert but that was all AU could do.
- The Spartans fell to the Profs 13-9.
