The Aurora University men's basketball traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the Eagles of Edgewood College Tuesday night for a conference matchup. The Spartans defeated the Eagles 72-71 in a nail biting contest.

RECORDS: Aurora University 11-6 overall and 6-4 in the NACC; Edgewood College 1-15 overall and 1-8 in the NACC

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans started the first half in a defense battle with Edgewood College.- A layup by Justin Wilson brought the Spartans back to even at 11-11 with 13 minutes remaining in the half.
- With 2:53, Nolan Boffman and Justin Wilson sent the Spartans on a 13-6 run to give AU 43-36 lead heading into halftime.
- The Spartans opened up the second half with back to back baskets with their largest lead of 12 coming with 8:49 left in the game.
- Edgewood got hot with less than 2 minutes remaining, hitting multiple three pointers.
- With two seconds remaining the Eagles hit a three to cut their deficit to one. AU lead 72-71.
- The Eagles missed a three as the final seconds ran of the clock and AU was victorious.
