Aurora University men's golfer Scott Boyajian made history in the 2021-2022 AU Spartan golf season when he became the first AU golfer to earn Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) PING All-American honors.

Those honors and his play has continued into the 2022-2023 season with Boyajian being invited to and will compete in the The Thunderbolt, which will feature 72 more of the nation's top male collegiate players competing in a three-round event from December 29-31, 2022, at Sterling Grove Golf + Country Club in Surprise, Arizona.

Boyajian was selected a Third-Team All-American following his performance at the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships by the GCAA. He finished tied for sixth in the individual standings at the 2022 NCAA Championships in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida at the Mission Inn Resort and Club. Boyajian finished the four-round tournament with a four-over 291 with rounds of 75, 69, 74, 73. As a team the Spartans finished 14th out of 43 teams with a three-round score of 1218 (308/306/307/297).

In the fall 2022 portion of the 2022-2023 schedule, Boyajian played in 14 rounds and averaged a 73.9 with a low of 67 and three rounds coming in below par.
