City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met July 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

CALL TO ORDER-4:05 p.m.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Ramona Wood

Vice Chairman Angela Thomas - excused

Commissioner Timothy Oelker

Commissioner Keefe Jackson

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Jackson motioned to approve the minutes from May 19, 2022, June 2, 2022, June 16, 2022, and special meeting minutes from June 30, 2022. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion Passed.

NEW BUSINESS

Commissioners broke ties on the 2022 Fire Private eligibility list by lottery.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to certify the final 2022 Fire Private eligibility list. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to certify the Property Maintenance Compliance Officer (PMCO) civil service exam. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioners reviewed payroll from June 2022. May 2022 payroll will be on the next regular scheduled meeting. Payroll will be submitted to the payroll department without changes.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to take the Commission into executive session at 4:22 p.m. to review public safety applicant polygraph, psychological and backgrounds. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to take the Commission out of executive session at 4:27 p.m. to review public safety polygraph evaluation and/or psychological assessments. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Jackson motioned to strike 2022 Police Officer eligibility list candidate Alan Magana from the eligibility list due to the results of the psychological evaluation. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jackson to adjourn the meeting at 4:28 p.m. Motioned Passed.
