Algonquin (Kane County) home prices rose in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Algonquin in Kane County rose by $38,900 while total sales decreased by 19.2 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 63 homes sold, with a median sale price of $300,000 - a 14.9 percent increase over the $261,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 78 homes sold in Algonquin in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Algonquin for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $7,573, approximately 2.5 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
