A. Sikich, LLC Audit Presentation
Sikich, LLP partner, James Savio, will be discussing the City’s 2021 Annual Consolidated Financial Report.
B. Mid-Year Budget Update
The volatile economic conditions occurring with the start of 2022 budget year are negatively impacting some operational expenses and capital initiatives. Chief Financial Officer Debra Nawrocki will be reporting on the city’s expenditures and revenues through June 30th.
Initiatives and Other Items
C. Replacement Purchase of Three, Wheeled Coach Ambulances from Fire Service, Inc. ($916,924 - inclusive of trade-ins and Ford GPC credit)
Objective: Purchase three (3) replacement ambulances to provide reliable and effective treatment and transportation for citizens needing emergency medical care and transport to a hospital.
D. Purchase of Emergency One Fire Engine from Fire Services Inc. through the Houston/Galveston Cooperative Purchasing Program ($714,351)
Objective: Purchase a fire engine meeting the National Response standards.
E. Purchase of a Police Specialty Solutions Covert Surveillance Vehicle – Village of Arlington Heights ($32,380)
Objective: Purchase of a vehicle to assist in investigations where covert surveillance is needed.
F. Purchase Agreement with PerkinElmer for Atomic Absorption Spectrometer ($76,342)
Objective: Provide the city with the ability to analyze water samples for presence of lead, by replacing a nonfunctioning twenty-five-year-old Atomic Absorption Spectrometry instrument.
G. Third Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of South Elgin for Interceptor Sewer Access (No Cost)
Objective: Work cooperatively with adjacent local governments to promote the orderly development of land.
H. Acceptance of Public Improvements and Plat of Easement for Watermain, Sidewalk and Storm-water Management Purposes within the site located at 745 Tollgate Road ($2,088 estimated five-year maintenance cost)
Objective: Fulfill the City’s obligation to maintain reliable infrastructure for serving businesses and residents.
I. Change Order 1 and Final for Wing Park Pool Boiler Replacement ($33,556)
Objective: Replace the failing pool heaters at the Wing Park Pool.
J. Change Order No. 1 for Bid 21-004A, 2021 Lead Service Line Replacement Program ($31,000)
Objective: Improve the water distribution system by replacing lead water service lines located on private property.
