The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:31 PM.

10. PRESENTATION: Batavia High School Football Team

Mayor Schielke shared some of the history of the Batavia High School football program. He presented a proclamation in recognition of the 2021 team’s success and sportsmanship in the face of adversity.

Alderman Wolff spoke in recognition of the work and sportsmanship of the student athletes.

Coach Pieron spoke to thank the Mayor, Council and community of Batavia for their support of the team.

The team captains received copies of the proclamation.

Motion by Ald. Wolf , seconded by Ald. Solfa, to approve the proclamation. Motion carried 13 yea/ 0 nay/1 absent.

11. MAINSTREET MINUTE

Beth Walker presented her report on the recent and upcoming programs of Batavia MainStreet.

Bill McGrail, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Batavia MainStreet presented a 2021 wrap up. Please review the recording for comments in full.

12. APPROVAL: Class B-5 Package Liquor License Application For 7-Eleven Inc., D/B/A 7-Eleven 33874H At 336 E. Wilson St Batavia IL 60510 (DE 1/11/22 COW 1/11/22 12/0) CS

Ald. Beck stepped away from the meeting at 8:38 PM

Motion by Ald. Russotto, seconded by Ald. Solfa, to approve the application. Motion carried 12 yea/ 0 nay/2 absent.

20. OTHER BUSINESS

Ald. Wolff asked for clarification regarding which entity is responsible for installing snow fencing to prevent drifting snow near the Millview development. Gary Holm responded that he was not aware of who is responsible, but that it has not been a City project.
