Noverini for Supreme Court has issued the following press release:

Carpentersville, IL – Reformers Unanimous group leader Antonio Ramirez says it was people like Judge John Noverini believing in him and accepting him that helped him overcome the bad decisions he made early in his life.

“Judge John Noverini saw me for what I could be – not as the person who got into trouble,” Ramirez said. “He listened to me. He respected me and that really meant a lot to me. I am the person I am today because of people like him.”

Antonio Ramirez made some bad choices at age 13. He got involved in drugs and he joined the Latin Kings in high school. Today, he is a group leader with the Northwest Bible Baptist Church Reformers Unanimous rehab program. He is a grocery store manager and runs the sound system and sings in the church choir.

“I was on the fast track to becoming just another statistic,” Ramirez said. “My dad was killed in a car accident in Mexico when I was five. I got mixed up with the wrong group of people, many of whom are on the run, or they are in prison, or they have been killed. Fortunately for me, I met the right people who helped me find Christ and I turned my life around. Judge John Noverini was one of those people. He supported me and now I am honored to have the opportunity to support his candidacy for Supreme Court justice in the 2nd District.”

Judge Noverini and his wife, Saray Rodriguez Noverini, are long-time residents of Kane County. Judge Noverini was first elected to the bench in 2008 and during his judicial tenure has served in both criminal and civil courtrooms. His judicial experience includes having served as the Presiding Judge of the Family Law Division, Presiding Judge of the Criminal Law Division, and Presiding Judge of Probate, Guardianship, Traffic and Mental Health Courts.

A life-long Illinoisan, Noverini is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute. He earned his Master of Arts in History from Northeastern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor from IIT/Chicago Kent College of Law. For more information, please visit www.noverini.com.
