City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met Dec. 16.

CALL TO ORDER-4:07 p.m.

MEMBERS PRESENT:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Wood motioned to approve the December 2, 2021 meeting minutes. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

Commissioners were provided information on the hiring process for Lateral police candidates. There was a discussion that focused on the qualification process and the interview.

NEW BUSINESS

Commissioners reviewed 2021 Police Officer Eligibility list as list has no viable candidates and is exhausted.

Commissioners reviewed and broke ties by lottery on the 2022 Police Officer Eligibility List.

Commissioner Thomas motioned to certify the 2022 Police Officer Eligibility List. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioners reviewed payroll for December 2021. There are no changes and document will be submitted to the payroll department for processing.

Commissioner Wood motioned to approve the one year leave absence requested by Erin Miller for the exempt payroll position. Commissioner Jackson seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jackson to adjourn the meeting at 4:43 p.m. Motioned Passed.
