City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met Sept. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

CALL TO ORDER-4:01 p.m.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Timothy Oelker – excused

Vice Chairman Ramona Wood

Commissioner Angela Thomas

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Thomas motioned to table the August 19, 2021 meeting minutes. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

Commissioner Thomas motioned to take the Commission into executive session at 4:06 p.m. to review public safety applicant polygraph, psychological and backgrounds. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Thomas motioned to take the Commission out of executive session at 4:52 p.m. to review public safety (Police Department) polygraph evaluation and/or psychological assessments. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Thomas motioned to pass 2020 Fire Private candidates Jarrod Spurlock, Brett Piekarski, Katherine O’Brien, Jarrid Thorpen, Allen Davis, Matthew Hossfeld to the next step in the hiring process due to the results of the polygraph assessment. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.
