TRAFFIC ALERTS
City of Elgin's temporary closure of southbound Longcommon Parkway from Weld to Cranston
Southbound Longcommon Parkway is closed through Friday, October 15, weather dependent for concrete work and paving operations. This work was planned for last week but delayed due to weather. All construction work will take place from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with flaggers used for directing traffic. Southbound traffic is detoured on Weld to southbound Randall.
Nicor's closure of Southbound McLean Boulevard
Nicor continues its construction work with directional boring from just north of Speedway under Big Timber to just south of the Metra tracks, adjacent to Multifilm. Southbound lanes will remain closed for the extent of this project. The closure is expected to last through at least through the end of the month, weather dependent. As work nears completion, an update will be provided.
Southbound traffic continues to be detoured west/south on Todd Farm, west on Big Timber, south on Randall, east on Royal back to McLean.
