City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on May. 19.
The City recently broke ground on an expansion of the Westside Wastewater Treatment plant. The expansion will support development along and west of Randall Road, and improve water quality in Mill Creek and the Fox River.

The city has a $17.6 -Million-dollar contract with Vissering Construction Company. The project is fully funded by the IEPA Low Interest Loan Program and loan repayment comes from the wastewater user fees.
