CITY OF AURORA: Aurora-Kane Vax Site Open For Walk-Ins For Ages 12 And Up

City of Aurora issued the following announcement on May. 12. 

Beginning Thursday, May 13, the Aurora Kane Vaccination Site, 970 N. Lake St., will provide Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and up.

The site is open for walk-ins. No appointments are necessary. Open to all Illinois residents.

A parent or guardian should accompany youth under age 18 – but if a parent or guardian is unable to attend, they can sign the consent form and allow another adult to accompany the minor.

The consent form can be downloaded at KaneVax.org.

The Aurora Kane Vaccination Site is open the following hours:

• Thursday, May 13 | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

• Friday, May 14 | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

• Saturday, May 15 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

• Tuesday, May 18 | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

On Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted emergency use authorization for the 12-to-15 age group. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave full approval today, Wednesday, May 12.
