City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Mar. 30.
Early voting allows voters to cast a full ballot before the observed Election Day - April 6, 2021. Although voters can still go to their polling place on Election Day, early voting is intended to make voting easier for everyone. This cuts down on lines at the polling place on Election Day as well as allowing voters to vote when it fits their schedule.
Early voting is not conducted at your usual polling place. Polling places will only be open for voting on the observed Election Day.
Early voting is underway until April 5 for both Cook County and Kane County residents. Early voting is conducted at assigned locations throughout your residing county. You may go to any one of these assigned locations to vote early.
